Last updated: April 29, 2026

Plain-English summary This software is provided free, as-is, with no warranty. Use it at your own risk. We're not liable for losses from using it. Open-source components retain their original licenses. Full terms below.

1. Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using any software published by R1 Apps ("the Software"), you ("the User") agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not install or use the Software.

2. License grant

R1 Apps grants the User a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Software for personal or commercial purposes, subject to these Terms and to the licenses of any open-source components bundled with or used by the Software.

Joomla extensions published by R1 Apps are licensed under the GNU General Public License (GPL) version 2 or later, as required by the Joomla Project. The GPL terms govern those extensions and supersede this section where they conflict.

3. Restrictions

The User may not:

4. Disclaimer of warranty

The Software is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. R1 Apps disclaims all warranties, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty arising from course of dealing or usage of trade.

R1 Apps does not warrant that the Software will meet the User's requirements, operate without interruption, be error-free, or be suitable for use in safety-critical or mission-critical environments. The User assumes full responsibility for evaluating the Software's suitability for their use.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall R1 Apps, its owners, contributors, or affiliates be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, business interruption, production losses during live events, equipment damage, or any other commercial damages or losses — arising out of or related to the use of, or inability to use, the Software, even if R1 Apps has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, R1 Apps' total liability shall be limited to the amount paid by the User for the Software, which for free Software is zero.

6. Open-source components

The Software includes open-source components, each governed by its own license (such as MIT, BSD, Apache 2.0, or GPL). Those licenses apply to those components in addition to these Terms. A list of open-source components used by each R1 Apps application is published on that application's down low page on this website.

Where any open-source license conflicts with these Terms in its application to a specific component, the open-source license governs that component.

7. Third-party SDKs and services

Some R1 Apps software interoperates with third-party products (for example, NDI® by Vizrt Group, Blackmagic Design DeckLink SDK, Dataton WATCHOUT, Mitti, Millumin, and Joomla). Use of those third-party products is governed by their own terms and licenses. R1 Apps is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by those vendors unless explicitly stated.

8. No data collection by default

R1 Apps software does not phone home, collect telemetry, or transmit usage data to R1 Apps servers, except where explicitly required for a feature you have configured (for example, sending OSC messages to a destination you specify). See our Privacy statement for details.

9. Termination

This license terminates automatically if the User materially violates these Terms. Upon termination, the User must cease use of the Software and remove all copies. Sections 4, 5, 6, 10, and 11 survive termination.

10. Changes to these Terms

R1 Apps may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is always published at https://r1apps.com/terms.html. Continued use of the Software after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing law and venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States of America, without regard to its conflict-of- laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Software shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Pinellas County, Florida, and the User consents to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.
